C.A.R.E.

C.A.R.E. is a place for young children with special needs, a safe place where these children come for therapy, for education, for love and for support. C.A.R.E. is also a place that parents can come to rely on. Because C.A.R.E. is there for you. Because C.A.R.E. cares.

C.A.R.E stands for the Centre for Autism, Research and Education. It is an early intervention therapy centre and pre-school for all six-month-old to six-year-old children with special needs. Please contact us if you would like to know more about the children we can help.

Raising a child with special needs is no easy task and you, as a parent, need all the help you can get. A fundamental part of our approach is the support we offer the parents of the children who attend C.A.R.E. Having a full complement of heath-care professionals and teachers catering specifically for special needs children under one roof means that parents of young children with special needs now have a single point of contact for all the care they may require.

Founder Rozanna Riback - a qualified Occupational Therapy professional and a member of the Health Professions Council of South Africa - has envisioned this holistic early intervention centre with a comprehensive and integrated programme. It comprises a specialised pre-school curriculum with strong emphasis on pre-requisite learning skills, intensive speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, remedial therapy and a range of complementary therapies and activities.

C.A.R.E. further offersa highly specialised service of multi-disciplinary assessments and diagnostic evaluations.psychologists are trained professionals with a broad range of experience in psychometric test administration, interpretation and reporting. We offer a professional and friendly environment to assess children's intellectual, academic, developmental and behavioural/emotional functioning, as accurate evaluation and diagnosis of children's difficulties and abilities are the first steps in helping them. All assessments are provided by our experienced team of psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists, all of whom have extensive experience in working with children and families.

We have recruited and assembled the very best professional team possible in order for us to offer superior special-needs care and remedial education. Every member of the team is there for your child and for you as a parent. Every member of the team cares.

What we offer

C.A.R.E.'s full multi-disciplinary team works on site. Our staff contingent includes occupational therapists, speech therapists, a physiotherapist, remedial and mainstream teachers and educational psychologists - as well as facilitators and caregivers. Our comprehensive offering means that C.A.R.E. becomes a single point of contact for you and your child's needs.

Because we keep our classes small, we are able to offer each child an individualized educational development programme, structured to suit his or her specific needs.

Having all of your child's teachers and therapists under one roof is a great benefit in that your child's care is fully integrated, ensuring effective and efficient collaboration between home, therapy and education.
